Oneness in the Body of Christ
I am a 12-year-old boy who meets with the local church in Sacramento. Recently, I went on a trip with adult serving ones and five other young people. We received this trip as a reward by acquiring 700 points for speaking the Word in the meetings, having a morning time, attending young people's meetings, reading the spiritual messages, serving the brothers and sisters, and many other things. One requirement was that we read the entire New Testament.
We traveled up to Northern California and Oregon to see the sights and to meet with other local churches. Every time we came to a local church, the believers there were always waiting for us. They received us like we were one big family. All of the local churches gave us hospitality. (Romans 12:13) The local churches we visited were in Redding, California; Crescent City, California; Eugene, Oregon; Portland, Oregon; and Roseburg, Oregon. Visiting the other local churches was so great because we all have the same life and nature and the same Father. I also enjoyed the visiting because it makes us one.
